I say No to rape, stop the violation https://vintagefingerz.blogspot.com/2020/06/i-say-no-to-rape-as-public-speaker.html
No means No
Amid the novel Coronavirus Pandemic around the world and the recent killing of a black African American “George Floyd” has led to nationwide peaceful protest in the United States and other parts of the world with the organized movement dedicated to non-violent civil disobedience in protest to alleged incidents of police brutality aka “Black Lives Matter”, vintageFingerz joins the world to say No to rape! following the recent rape cases in Nigeria like the hashtag #JusticeForUwa which was taken to social media to demand action for Uwaila Omozuwa a young Nigerian who was abused and killed.
In today’s article, we are glad to have OAP AmyJudy as she shares with us her views on rape. Going further, let's define the term Rape before introducing our guest.

DEFINITION:

Simply put, Rape is having any form of non-consensual (not agreed upon) sexual intercourse, that is when a person forces another person to have sex against his or her will. Rape does not only happen when a victim is intoxicated from alcohol or drugs because recent conversations and sensitization have shown that rape happens almost everywhere including marriages.
It is a felony offense, among the most serious forms of crime a person can commit. It should be noted that men, as well as women and children, can be raped and research has shown that this evil act is carried out by trustworthy friends, and family members amongst others.
Now, let us meet our guest………drum rolls!!!!

  • A BRIEF SUMMARY OF AMYJUDY

We are glad to have this interview with you, please tell us (readers and listeners) about yourself.
I am Judith Amaka Onyeagwara, a graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. I studied English language and literature and I am currently serving my country. I am a teacher, preacher, speaker, and motivator, and I'm good at bringing out the best in you. I am also a certified public speaker.
One of my favorite quotes is "Always dream big and watch them come to fulfillment ''. I inspire people to be the best they can be in any sphere of their lives and give back to the society that great potential deposited in them, and I achieve this through my online radio-audio show known as Amy's Special Podcast.
I say no to Rape

I believe everyone has a gift and potential that if properly harnessed would be used it to grow and transform their world, making it better than it is. I am a believer and an achiever and I believe you can achieve whatever you put your mind to with God on your side because obviously, anything outside God is nothing.
  • WHY PODCAST?

I chose podcasts because it can help me get my message across far and wide as you can listen to it any day, anytime, anywhere. You can be cooking and listening, you can be reading and listening, you can be driving and listening. It's a very easy way to connect with people and touch and inspire lives anywhere, everywhere.

  • WHAT INSPIRED YOUR BRAND?

My brand ASP is short for Amy's SpecialPodcast and it was borne out of the need to inspire people to be the best they can be, to make people love themselves and extend their love to others too, to spur people into believing in themselves, and to believe they can be all that they want to be and more, that they can actually bring out the best in them and bless the world with their sweetness and potential.
  • HAVE YOU HAD ANY SETBACKS SINCE YOU STARTED YOUR BRAND?

As for setbacks, well, I'm kind of just starting and it isn't all that easy I must say. From the designs to the recording and most importantly, equipment...my lack of necessary equipment kind of poses a threat somehow, but then I'm not discouraged, I see it as trying times now because it won't be like this forever, it can only get better. I have learned that little beginnings aren't always easy, but in the end or in the long run, it would be worth it. So never despise the days of little beginnings.
  • WHAT ARE THE BEST RESOURCES THAT HAVE HELPED YOU ALONG THE WAY?

So far, God's been faithful, He's made it possible for me to meet some amazing people who really helped make it a reality. People like Samuel Omaka of Digi Creations Hub, Joseph Paul Smile of Smile Real Talks, and also Joel Okeke. Then also my phone.
  • WHAT HAVE YOU READ OR LISTENED TO RECENTLY THAT INSPIRED YOU?

Well, to start with, I didn't like to listen to anything to be inspired... My inspiration came from my ambition to be an On-Air-Personality and also from a friend.
  • WHO ARE THE TWO PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN INFLUENTIAL TO YOU?

Joel Okeke, CEO Mac-Joe's Ventures and Joseph Paul Smile, Smile Real Talks.
  • DO YOU HAVE A COMPETITION?

Well, I don't see myself as being in competition with anyone, I believe we are all unique in our own way and each of us has got something to offer to the world to make it a better place. So, there are no competitors but rather partners, and together we can inspire the world with our unique gifts.

your voice is your power

  • WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT RAPE?
Hmmmmm…. Rape is really a terrible thing. Can you imagine the trauma and psychological and mental health disorders it leaves on the victim? So why would a human want another fellow to go through all this and more because of selfish desires…. Just why??...
‘No’ means ‘No’……. Rape is bad, don’t force your way into another individual because of selfish pleasures. Anybody indulged in this terrible act must desist and repent from it, you have no excuse whatsoever to rape anyone. I say No to Rape!!!

  • WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I HAVE BEEN RAPED?

Firstly, you do not want to wash away any trace of evidence that could be used against the perpetrator thus, don’t douche. Report to the nearest police station and perhaps you are afraid of the stigmatization that society has wrapped around rape victims due to lack of sensitization, call your local rape crisis center. I think we have centers like the Mirabel center in Lagos Nigeria and Warif. Lastly, the hospital where the doctor will make a record of damages done, collect samples of fluid found in the area, and then will treat you.

  • WHAT SHOULD YOUR LISTENERS BE EXPECTING FROM YOU?

Wow! They should expect and anticipate the best because it can only get better. We are focused on inspiring and motivating people to be the best they can be in all spheres of life. To make people see and understand that there's no life in negative attitudes, characters, and dispositions and that they ought to be positive and be the best they can be.

  • WHAT ARE YOUR EXPECTATIONS AFTER THE LOCKDOWN? Any Advice?

I have expectations that things will fall in place eventually and that this message of hope and greatness will cut across continents and inspire people to be the best they can be.
Also, my advice to everyone out there is to keep believing in yourself, keep loving yourself well enough, and then extend that love to your neighbor. If only you could love yourself as your neighbor, you would see the necessity of not hurting him or her because you'll put yourself in that person's shoes and if it isn’t good for you then you shouldn’t do it to your neighbors. We need to live in a world where everyone is respected and treated with love and care irrespective of what you have or who you are. We need to live in a world that emits only positive energy.
What an interesting interview with AmyJudy, I believe the tips shared here are very important for everyone to note. Personally, I (_Simply_age) have learned a lot.

  4. Because both of these reasons translate into immeasurable benefits to your company, the least you can do for your guest speakers and presenters is to present them with a corporate gift as a sign of gratitude. speaker gifts
